The reason he is "slurring" the words is to give the song effect and his own style... vibrato, not a song style for much vibrato, no real long notes and lots of dynamic changes cause of the emotions, good twist to make it your own and beautiful piano playing...

really good, dude .... the only thing you need to work on is annunciating your words. your tone and intonation are great, but you're slurring your words.
