Are your bird quiet at night? I had a parakeet that slept just fine through the night with a blanket on top.

that was rather creepy, the blue chick started to look like a mechanical monster constantly demanding food..and after getting fed he'd just get even more aggressive. 0.o
the poor bird in the back just gives up and sulks lol
Are Lineolateds more delicate compared to Budgies & Lovebirds?

I'm not sure to be honest, but I have a pair of budgies and a pair of lineolated parakeets + their daughter (4 monts old now) and I find them quite easy to look after. They're fun too!

i have a question for you just incase the budgies i am getting breed... do you think it is a good idea to get your baby budgies wings clipped. first of all they get new fears to replace the old ones and WILL be able to fly as an adult. HOWEVER getting the wings cliffed at a young age protects them from hurting themselves while they are little. although i think you shouldnt get their wings clipped whatever age they are i am still interested on your opinion!

Hmm I personally never clip my birds' wings as they are meant to fly after all. =P

But having said that, when I got the male linnie from the pet shop, his wings and toe nails were all clipped. The poor fella kept walling off the perches and falling with a thud sound. I couldn't figure out why his breeder did that to him until much later when I found out why.

His wings and toe nails were clipped because his left wing doesn't work good and his toe nails have deformed growth. Either way he was just never meant to fly nor have nails. =/ But he's still a lively bird and now is a proud father - Wahey! =)
