breaking in new grishko pointe shoes

these are my second pair of pointe shoes. i love them and i think they look great, please tell me what you think! :)

honestly, grishkos dont have as good support and blochs. im kind of having a hard time doing pirhouettes and such on these. however, if you are willing to sacrifice fully reliable support for a beautiful appearance, these are great. xD

funny question but what toe pads/ouch pouches do you use because i used the ones that my teacher gave me but they dont work very well, i still get blisters and after about half an hour of pointe work, my feet are really sore, have u got any advice? thanks x

how did u break in ur pointe shoes?

@lem1198 If the heels are low at the back they may come off your heels until the shoes are fully broken in. You can help this by sewing elastic either side of the back seam so it comes around your ankle (not too tight) BUT if you make sure you sew the ribbons on at the right angle and not too far forward or back, this will help. My daughter's first pair of grishko's used to come off her heel until they were broken in, and then I moved the ribbons and now they don't come off any more. :-)

I went to a local dance store and tried on grishkos and they went off my heel when I walked..when i get the ribbons and elastic sewn will they stay on?

Or should I get the bloch balance...the difference is the bloch has strechy elastic (unlike the grishkos) but the grishkos fit my foot better...any input???

i want a pointe shoes well i have 1 but they r small and browk so my mother Threw them in the garbage and she say she want bye me a new pointe shoes :s

they look great, my teacher has just said i can go on pointe. it's going to be abit of a suprise to her when i've had so much practice on my sisters :3 i ordered some grishko's, just waiting for them to come :D

your left foot doesnt have as nice an arch as ur right, but other than that beautiful shoes, im going to Russia soon thinking about getting me some of those :)
