  • Don't listen to this guy when he talks about the last piece and prying it up. Get needle nose pliers and pull up on the very top part that plugs into the beige part you will break it off. Poster is kind of a knob for not mentioning this and saying go under the corners. It will break your speakers.

  • @shad0w4life2

that is correct i am the noob but i am the noob that has never had to use needle nose pliers to take appart a laptop. Dont listen to me.

  • Helpful video, for sure...but of course, I @#$%ed up and popped the speaker connector off the mobo. Has anyone deduced a way to repair this short of getting a new mobo? I was reading in some other places that an epoxy might be help to resecure the connection for broken SATA plugs and wasn't sure if that might apply to this as well.

To be fair, I use headphones on this rig 95% of the time anyway, but it's a crappy, nagging feeling knowing that one thing is broken on there.

  • @elude2 I wound up with two dead touchpads on Sony and Acer that I worked on, took completely apart and re-assembled, so, DO practice care, reconnecting cables! Gentle

  • @BToTech1 I don't use them either, I pry parts with a fingernail and a flat blade precision screwdriver, you want one good Philips blade. Don't cut your nails!

  • @shad0w4life2 I had no issues with this video at all. You might have not followed it correctly or was careless in the process?

  • @MrThrowmidgets1 That should not be the case. The left Vent is your CPU cooler and the right vent is your GPU cooler. It might just be covered in dust.

  • My g73jh laptop started shutting down due to overheating. This video worked Perfectly! Thanks! After taking it apart noticed big dust balls in each vent. Then I put arctic silver 5 on GPU and CPU and it is sitting at 55-65c on my GPU and it never shuts itself off. I attempted to unplug the two fan's power line from the MoBo but It didn't seem to budge. So just did the repair by removing the tape of the WiFi wires to give it more slack. Thanks again.

  • @BToTech1 121848 people have listened to you the rest is not that important .

BTW i am opening it again because the fan is so noisy and the power button is so hard to press .,.,

    so yeah Thank you

  • Take apart G74sx plz

  • Any thoughts on where to get the ribbon that connects the hard drive adapter to the motherboard? I cannot find one anywhere.

  • What do you mean fix the Best Buy asus?
