@kephren1 I see. Actually mate I have a problem: I've gone onto the site and tried to download this film, but it only downloads about 3/4 and says thats its finished. When I play it, it gets so far and says the data is corrupted. For some reason, my computer won't download it all.

Just to elaborate upon the theory, the first "queen" as fans know her was destroyed at sometime during stardate 50893. Her successive "replacement" was infected by the pathogen around stardate 54973. Extrapolation of those dates; ST: First Contact took place in 2373 and ST: Voyager - Endgame in 2378.

And what of the neurolytic pathogen? If we assume that there is only one queen; her role similar to that as a queen of an ant colony, can we not conjecture that any drone LINKED to the hive mind would have been affected by the pathogen? Understandably those individuals with the biological "defect" from Unimatrix Zero are no longer linked to the Hive hence the effect would likely be absent.

ahh yes. then it must be that the replacement queens are either:

A: inactive untill the previus has died,

or

B: set as drones, but upgraded by automatic machinery when the time comes.

im able to see automatic machinery operaiting to rebuild, upgrade the queen, compleatly indipendent of any orders from the queens deaths. perhaps an emergency failsafe, in witch they activate when no orders from the queen are recieved, and deactivate once the queen is rebuilt.

i see where i went wrong. if you remeber back in justice league unlimited where they had to fight braniac. every time they destroy a drone there is another to take its place. like the borg queen if one queen is destroyed there is another queen to take it's place.and not all the queens are humanoid, some could be klingon, vulcan, cardassian, romulan, or any other species in the star trek universe.
