Out of the box, my first JVC GY-HM100U Video. Recorded at 1920x1080/60i 35 Mbps. Uploaded to YouTube at 1280x720 H.264 codec.

    The JVC GY-HM100 is a great little camera if you edit with Final Cut Pro. The .mov format and SDHC media was the main reason why I purchased this camera. The camera is pricy and if you don't have final cut, look around before you spend $2500. There are many good $1000 or less video cameras out there, so shop around. :)

  • How much was it?

  • It's seems to do well in low light, but I have not used a lot of larger 1/3" CCD cameras. The lens if fixed, but you can use a wide angle screw on or other 3rd party attachments. The SDHC and FCP is fantastic!

  • how does it hold up in low light conditions? and can you use other lenses?
