George Carney, the owner of Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park, was one of the opponents of Question 3 who met with The Patriot Ledger's editorial board on Oct. 23, 2008. Question 3 would ban greyhound racing in Massachusetts. -- By Cathleen Jeffrey
Yeah, let the Greyhounds loose to scamper around the countryside. Leave them alone. Dogs are not people, and working dogs need to be treated humanely, or they won't perform at a top level. Check your facts.
If you manage to end racing, what will happen to the dogs? They will all be killed. That's not cruel, though, is it.
All about money? Unless you are living without money, please pull your head out of your butt. Do you buy food? Do you have a car, an apartment or house? Quit your job immediately, because its all aboout money.
This idiot is ALL about money. Let's stick him in a regulation sized cage for 22 hrs a day then run him in a race...oh and if he breaks a leg...he should be "humanly put down" because...well...he can't make anymore money!
He talks about jobs and his employees? HE LOVE MONEY IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND WANTS TO CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY.
Shut this GARBAGE down, put people like this OUT of business in EVERY state or country in the world.
The racing industry is run by fanatics who have placed monetary greed over the care of the dogs that earn them money. Everyone knows that dogs can tolerate massive amounts of stress and pain before complaining. If you have ever been to the vet you have probably seen pets masking pain as they bleed or limp with broken bones. While we would scream and thrash and complain they proudly move forward. It is time to speak up for them and end this cruelty in Massachusetts.
Exactly, what a joke. This man cares not about jobs, he just wants MORE MONEY to line his pockets.
Wasn't Carney going to put up millions to get those slots?

Massachusetts : where we love Dogs and Hate People. I don't see why they didn't regulate it instead of ending it and peoples' jobs.
