Joe Melson sings a nice version of "Raining In My Heart". Recorded 6th December 1962. Backing vocals by The Anita Kerr Singers and Dan Folger. One of the guitarists was Fred Carter,whom I presume is aka Fred Carter Jnr.

Thanks, didn't get much response with this one, but I think it's rather nice as well. Trademark Melson 'soft vocals', and nice chunky bass line.

Have listen to the Bobby Vee version, and you can also say that the strings are over the top in it.
It's a matter of taste .Bobby' s voice is perfect , but here we have as extra the Anita Kerr Singers, and that's also perfect.

i like this but i think the backing is a bit over the top the ladies doing dum diddy dum is a bit much but i do agree with you he as a lovely voice
