Argerich has always the bad habit to run too much... I really like a youtube's version of lucamadeus... listen to it, i'm not spamming.

@katkula sorry but HATES Cortot's interpretation, way too rushed. Martha does a good job at it. Ivo does a great job at it. There are so many liberties taken with the tempo on #4 that it becomes a personal choice, it's how you feel it, what it does to you. Ivo's tempo is a bit slow to my liking but everyone of his note is like a jab to my heart. At that level, it's about tone and tempo. We all feel it differently.

Allow me to post in spanish.
Marta Argerich, Scaramuzza, el pibito Lavandera, Gelber, etc son excelentes pianistas... además nuestras escuelas de música tienen tan buen nivel como una europea (H)

It's too rushed

rushed??? what are you talking about??
forget the tempo, just close your eyes and feel the passion which drives her to play exactly the way she does...
the only interpretation i have ever heard that made my eyes wet...

Martha Argerich one of the best pianist ever. All the musicians always are believing that our musical perseption is the best,..the music is different for everyone and you must enjoy it,. Ive read that she's always running in her performance...I think to run is a natural expression of a big passion and freedom, I hate boring performances to slow, well...you can do everything with music, because music are done to you.

@katkula talking about "don't get me wrong", please don't get me wrong but let's not blend personal opinions with facts, nobody will ever resurrect Chopin to know exactly which interpretation is BETTER or sounds more like he wanted to, Martha respects the music score and so the rubatos, subtle nuances etc... vary according to the musician and can not simply be resumed as "better" or "worse". I am not a personal fan of Martha but I honestly don't believe she could not play this piece perfectly.
Great but doesn't surpass Cortot. This version is a little rushed at some places. Don't get me wrong, Cortot doesn't rush in any moment of his interpretation, he just makes stretto or accelerando and is fully justified so. Martha in her interpretation could sometimes wait a liiittle more in some places, would be even better!

@katkula Thank for your comment. I am not a musician only a music fan, and can say Martha's fan, For me her interpretation sounds better as that of Cortot. To like rushing or not rushing can be personal.
