@Leicesterdog Right. Maybe you should do a little research on what Castro did with the Bay of Pigs mercenaries. He sent them home to America, without torturing them, without imprisoning them. Even the mercenaries himself admitted it. Also notice that he has openly said anyone who opposes him is free to leave the country or run against him (because there are political parties in Cuba). No Cuban émigré can actually say they were kicked out of their country, they left of their own free will.

You know, I keep neutral on Cuba. I want to go there and find the truth for myself, but because of the embargo I can't.

The embargos and the pathetic sanctions only hurt the people not the leaders. The U.S. Knows that. Why won't they let us go to Cuba, when we can go to china?? Chinas communist. Maybe Cuba is democratic and communist or not. Why can we never know?

@CubanodePlacetas Again, read the book "People's Power in Cuba" - it's a neutral analysis of Cuba's electoral system (I actually disagree with the book in many parts, particularily when it talks of the "negative" implications of the Soviets). And, I'll repeat, the Communist Party of Cuba exists kind of like a government agency - providing services. It doesn't run in elections.
