Blessed Reginald of Orleans

Fr. Romanus Cessario, O.P. preaches at the Dominican House of Studies on Dominican Blessed, Reginald of Orleans. Blessed Reginald was won to the Order by St. Dominic himself, and was healed from deathly illness by the miraculous intervention of Our Lady, who revealed to Bl. Reginald the full habit of the Order. Fr. Cessario highlights three special blessings proper to devotion to Mary, and especially important for priests: security, mercy, and purity. Fr. Cessario is professor of systematic theology at St. John's Seminary (Brighton, MA), and is the author of numerous articles and books in both English and in French. Recently, Fr. Cessario published his 2008 Good Friday meditation at the Cathedral of St. Patrick (New York, NY): The Seven Last Words of Jesus (Ignatius, 2009).
