NOTE: Im sick and tired of hearing "that gun is not sutiable for self defense" I DO NOT CARE. quit telling me, i already knew that before i bought it. Its my fun big boom explode stuff handgun. Doesnt anyone like to have fun once in a while when they shoot? I too know what works and what doesnt for self defense. But this is my fun gun so quit knocking it and telling me how great your tactical pistol is. I dont care. Different guns have different jobs. So if thats all you have to say dont even comment. Or how you think the Desert Eagle is junk, mines never jammed I dont want to hear it. You've either heard wrong, you dont clean your guns, or your holding it wrong (ie: limp wrist or tea cupping the magazine which looks stupid and isnt comfortable anyway.)

I need to vent sometimes lol. But im sick of hearing the same crap, I like to shoot a hard kicking big-bore pistol, get over it. Also "DEAGLE" STUPID STUPID WORD!!! ugh. Sounds like a retarded dog, quit using it.

You always shoot speer? Ever shoot the DE brand? If so which do you prefer?-- for accuracy/reliability/precision­, etc.

I just shoot whatever I can find, although I must say I prefer Speer. Yeah I've shot the brand offered by Magnum Research, I shot the 350 Gr. JSP but not their 300 Gr. which im assuming is the same as the Speer 300 Gr. I think my favorite load in it is the Speer 300 Gr. or 325 Gr. GDHP, the 300 Gr. was a little more accurate for me and i havent had a jam on any of the brands of tried: Speer, Magnum Research, Hornady, or IMI Samson Ultra. So yeah my favorites gotta be the Speer with Samson close.

I've seen those, they look pretty slick. Ive had the one piece hogue wrap around grips with the finger grooves on mine the last couple of years, it makes the grip very comfortable.

All teens and parents should watch your vid. This is a classical way of having fun. I see your Dad in the vid, that's good. The way both of you handle, shoot and have fun with the gun safely, means you've been educated early to it. I hope all children and teens have your upbringing and discipline. That's what I call having fun shooting! Not shooting at paper and staring at the hole. The more persons educated with firearms, the less crime and accidents. Other kids thought guns are magic wands.

I bought mine about four days ago... It's black, obviously .50AE, and is the old IMI version, i paid 1750 Euros (i'm in Italy)... My ammos are Northwest 300gr copper round flat... Wonderful pistol, is incredibly precise and solid... All the stories about jamming and things like that are a legend, just keep the gun clean and oiled after every shooting... Hollywood and games ruined the collective imaginary of this amazing gun... I also own a Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull with a 7.5'' barrel...

my friend posted a video of me putting the finishing wipe down on my baby on youtube titled "karl finishing up cleaning desert eagle" notice i put it in a vertical shoulder holster and it is not concealed. as for ammo ive shot the speer 300/325, the samson, and the hornady (the cheapest at half the cost of speer) and have to say that the speer is by far the best and easiest to find. although i didnt notice much of a difference between grains i prefer the 300. :D nice gun man.

how is this gun not suitable for self defense?!? i open/conceal carry a magnum research desert eagle .50 cal every day. the great thing about a big gun in a holster is its a big gun out of the holster. most gun altercations can be stopped before they start with sheer intimidation. and believe me when i say you dont want to be staring down the business end of one of those bad boys. i also agree deagle is stupid and i think spawned from a video game...

nice video i have a israeal made .50ae and it never jams because i have the gas piston in mine but kinda expensive to maintain.(pistons are expensive) iam a afghanistan combat veteran 2002-2006 i oredred my gun overseas and paid $400 U.S. the only shitty thing is now here in the U.S. pay $100 dollars for a fuckin piston!
