Now that you mention it Lady Day never turned out a bad performance at all. There may be some songs that she made that may not be my favorite but I can't deny that her performance was in good form. I mention this before in another video of hers that Billie Holiday treated her singing as an art. I listened to this song "When Your Lover Has Gone" for the first time today and I LOVE IT!! Her voice shines and the musical arrangement is beautiful and has that smooth, swing jazz to it.

I never heard Billie turn in a bad performance.There is a similarity between Billie and Judy Garland they both had there art right up to the end and they both died broke.
