From the producers of Hell's Kitchen, original rock-star chef Marco Pierre White comes to America to host the ultimate food fight on NBC a new competition set in the high-drama, high-stakes world of New York City restaurants. The cooks are given a grilling over the course of the series. The teams, which are made up of couples, will be tested in challenges that vary from having less than a week to design and revamp a restaurant space to planning a menu and creating a signature dish. The winning couple will get a chance to have their dreams come true opening their very own restaurant.

I couldn't have said it better. Marco is a gentleman. Ramsey likes to hear himself talk. Just one suggestion. Read "The Devil in the Kitchen" for even greater insight. Ramsey will never reach the level of respect that Marco has.

I like Ramsay and White. Ramsay is hard and tough, and takes no shit, but shouts and swears ten-to-the-dozen. White barely raises his voice. Doesn't need to shout and swear. A proper God of the kitchen. He oozes confidence. God only knows where he'd be these days had he not retired. 600+ Michelin stars lolololol

@TheHockeyCentral You're right,you can have a great cooking show with out yelling and funny bits thrown in (Iron chef). In this case,this show, the host appeared to be high on pot or some form or tranquilizer and seems to just not care what so ever. If the host of the show does not care the audience aren't going to care and that's why the show was taken off the air.

The guy might very well be a great chef and have a real passion for cooking but....I just didn't see it in this show.

@FabioCrow07770 This comment just proves the point that I made about how a show like this (or Hells Kitchen) with Marco as the head chef will never be successful for American audience. They just want to see yelling, fighting, screaming and a few funny bits thrown in. Marco isn't like Ramsay.

It shouldn't be about that. It should be about inspiring people to want to cook and become chefs. Watch the UK version of Hell's Kitchen with Marco and you'll see.

Marco's version of Hell's Kitchen (which is essentially what Chopping Block is right?) will NEVER be successful in the US.  Very few people actually care about being inspired to cook or are interested in cooking. They just want to see the head chef insult and yell at the contestants. Hence, why Ramsay's US version of HK has done so well. That show has NOTHING to do with inspiring people to cook and become chefs. It's a typical reality show.

Marco seems like he is more an artist then anything else.. is just that his medium is food. The passion is similar to a famous painter or actor speaking about their art. It's great to see.
