Originally made as a pilot for a US TV seres co-production between Hammer Films and Screen Gems, this was later broadcast as part of a number of other anthology series. It stars Anton Diffring as Baron Frankenstein.

The film uses a lot of recognisable stock footage from classic Univesal films, like Dracula's brides and the narrator from the Inner Sanctum movies.

  • Thanks! This is a lot of fun. As your description implies, it seems like a combination of vintage Hammer and Universal horror movies. The brief scene of the three vampire brides from Lugosi's "Dracula," and the settings and photography, make this seem a lot like a classic Universal movie. And the monster could be a hybrid from the two studios. Not bad for a half-hour drama. The story is a little silly, but who cares? And Anton Diffring makes a good Dr. Frankenstein.

  • Nice!
