A video tribute to my father, Joseph Kotler. My father passed away March 27, 2011. He was born March 30, 1916 and we were getting ready to celebrate his 95th birthday. My dad was born in Russia and traveled to Ellis Island on a ship called The Zeeland in 1921. He was a captain in the air force during World War 2 and went on to become vice president of Warner Brother Television. His wife (my mom) Barbara Cameron was a singer and songwriter, had her own show WLW called Moon River and where she sang with Rosemary Clooney. Also wrote and sang The Road Runner cartoon theme depicted on this video. We all loved my dad and will miss him greatly. You honor my father and us by taking the time to watch this video.

  • What a touching tribute for a great man. I will miss him too. God bless you Joe Kotler.

  • Doug, thanks so much for sending this to me. It is a wonderful tribute to your father, a one-in-a-million guy. It captures his history, and spirit, beautifully. Some of my all-time favorite stories are Joe Kotler stories: taking his camper top trailer out West to go trout fishing, skiing Klosters and my very favorite, telling people that he hired a guy at the Y to run around the track for him.......... Farewell to the only member of the Friars Club I knew personally.......

  • Beautiful tribute... My condolences and prayers for your family at the passing of your Dad.
