My grandfather brought his Springfield home from France, as well as an Enfield and a Mauser. Their loss was the only thing I really regretted about that 1970s burglary.

Key West Coast Artillary version 1944-5
( my dad sang this to us later )
Oh it's not the pack that carry on your back, nor the RIFLE on your shoulder, nor the 5 inch crust of KEY WEST CORAL dust, that makes you think your limbs are growing older. Oh it's not the hike on the DAMN turnpike that wipes away the smiles nor, the socks from sisters that raise the bloomin' blisters. It's that LAST LONG MILE!.
Springfield - >
Tinton County - Key West coral
hard turnpike - > DAMN turnpike
