Jesus man, take a damn chill pill. You ever think that there is ALOT of shops that DONT have sub spindles? Looks like a good idea to me. The general small shop isn't going to buy a turning center with a sub spindle for doing small production runs. But sounds like you know it all, so we'll see you on the front cover of Today's Machining World next month.
sound like somebody needs to update their equiptment...MOST shops i know anty up and buy the turning center with something simple called a SUB SPINDLE!!! What is the point of this video...Are you selling this ..or did you buy this...or did you think this is the next best thing to the electric knife??? WTF
Looks to me like you only have to install the chip cover once. So to setup a part you only have to screw in the standoffs. If you can bore out, deburr and have a part ready to run in under 2 minutes using soft jaws then you are my hero. A barfeeder would work for some parts however I haven't figured out how to feed a 5" bar thru a 3" spindle bore. As with all products not all scenarios are applicable and yes pieces can be lost / broken if you are not careful.
i didnt say i could make...i said i can BORE.....i have a section of my shop that is dedicated to soft jaw prod. lathe &mill...to many parts to get lost or stripped...!!!
