Proudly presenting my eldest granddaughter, Bonnie, who is firmly in remission from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She took part in Race for Life for the first time last year - it was such an honour to run round with her - I shall never, ever forget that day - I am so, so proud of her!!

Cancer Research UKs Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK, and has grown to become one of the UK's largest annual fundraising events. R4L is CRUKs flagship event, which brings together thousands of women each year to walk, jog or run 5k and raise money to beat cancer. R4L began in Battersea Park, London in 1994 where 685 women participated and raised £36,000 for CRUK. Since then over 4 million women have participated in R4L and raised over £240 million in sponsorship for CRUKs life-saving work.
