Doctors from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital/Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital (Park Ridge, Ill.) laced up the skates and hit the ice for the "Docs vs. Jocks" hockey game, raising $42,000 for the Midwest Children's Brain Tumor Center at Lutheran General Children's Hospital. Joining the physicians were hockey coaches from local Wilmette and Winnetka hockey clubs.

The mission of the Midwest Children's Brain Tumor Center is to provide for the special needs of children suffering from brain tumors. From access to innovative medical procedures, the latest technology, and a range of educational and support services, we're dedicated to improving the future of children with this devastating disease. For more information on Lutheran General Children's Hospital and the Midwest Children's Brain Tumor Center, please visit www.advocatehealth.com/lgch.

As part of the event, there was a silent auction for a variety of special items, such as a USA Olympic jersey autographed by Blackhawk Stanley Cup hero Patrick Kane, an autographed Tony Esposito Blackhawks jersey and an autographed photo and hockey puck from Blackhawk Brent Seabrook.
