in case youre wondering how the standard ducati exhaust sounds.
pretty much that what you hear under your helmet, except for the wind noise, - sorry about that.
- everyone posts their termignoni, so this is factory shipping sound at 2000 km driven (2010 S Modell, stock exhaust, GoPro HD Hero Cam).

at lower speed, more shifting:

  • Great Vid!!! Thinkin of getting one, although i might go for the Streetfighter.

  • @KWLaxrat4life Also, great riding! how does the bike feel?

  • @KWLaxrat4life It's the best allrounder i can think of. Always wanted to have a monster - since 15 years now. it's great! the desmo v2 engine has brute power. at lower rpm you can feel every single ignition bursting you forward more and more. very agile, power wheelies in the 2nd gear - no prob. i wouldnt choose a smaller model (given that you got some experience!! - its no starter-bike!).

  • @M1100go And if I did want a starter bike for my son what would you recommend? We are similar in strength and i just want to ride with him. Preferably we would both like to have the same brand.

  • @KWLaxrat4life im afraid i can't give you any hints on what bike to buy, since i don't know anything about you.

especially bikes with lower performance, as you ALWAYS want more, no matter what you got.

and i don't like to recommend powerful ones, because of their dangerous potential.

  • @KWLaxrat4life if you're really uncertain what to buy, i'd recommend in general second-hand ones from a dealer, since you won't keep them for long anyway.

try to test-drive as much as possible. i liked driving totally different ones, Supermotard, Racing, Touring... is it a pure hobby, or do you want to be able to drive with it to work... in what environment are you living... just ask yourself, test much.

  • @KWLaxrat4life yeah, i like the streetfigther as well. but i always wanted a monster, so i chose that. i've driven alternatives (bought 6 bikes in total). for me, monster is the best. you should consider by your style, how/where you like to drive.

  • @KWLaxrat4life just a smaller monster like the 696 or 796! GOOD starter bikes und optically pretty much the same as the 1100. They come with ABS now too which is good for a beginner (like your son) ;-)

  • not enought torque and power

  • @M1100go Hey, thanks. i was thinkin on the same lines. Its just a hobby that i want to enjoy with him, as well as teach him responsibility. Again great vid, and thanks for the help.

  • @M1100go Thanks bro, im excited to hear about 2nd gear wheelies. Although i should probably get used to the bike before i try that :/. And thats a lot of bikes!
