  • Just as I said, those two E8s were in " Golden State " Livery on the layout, NO E8A had that livery except one that was similer, the MKTs Texas Special, the #6018 was never in the silver and daylight red, only in the demonstrater colors of GM, Then Daylight, Finally in Grey with " Bloody Nose " red front with wings.

  • @HunterR909 Oooops ! I totally got confused mixing up "Golden State" livery and "Daylight". Thanks for pointing out. However, this is an exhibition of models. Actually, the gentleman who owns this E8 owns ALL models of E8 manufactured by Rivarossi - under its brand name or others - and something like 98% of ALL what Rivarossi has manufactured as North American model. That E8 in GS colors was indeed a Rivarossi production, be it it was not an accurate reproduction this time.

  • Hey, Mister, Those two E8/9 in Espee Golden State Paint is not accurate, Because Espee had NO E8/9s in that color, They ONLY had E7A-B-Bs in Golden State colors.

  • @HunterR909 Nope ! I shouldn't be so negative if I were you ;-) Check engine #6018 (Photo 262801 on railpictures net).

That "evidence" photograph is captionned "SP 6018 Southern Pacific Railroad EMD E8(A) at Burlingame, California by John West". It's the Coast Daylight, with EMD E8 A-B-A in the "appropriate" livery

  • Wow - good enough to "out-American" the Americans!

  • I can't say it enough: both the layout and your many videos are superb--the shots, the angles and music are so artistic. Thanks for sharing them with us!
