GDP = C + I + G + (X − M)

GDP equals private consumption + gross investment + government spending + difference between exports and imports.

Is consumption growing? hardly. Is investment growing? hardly. Is the government growing. You bet your ass it is. There you have it. These GDP numbers are NOT good news, because government is spending the money it does not have to do things nobody needs (like cash for clunkers or urging people to upgrade to more expensive homes by extending tax credit for home buyers).

But you already knew the economy was not getting better. Are we seeing more people who lose their jobs or those who finds jobs? ???

In about 2 to 3 years once I acheive full certification in water and waste water then I want to go consulting.With the increasing pressure from reglatory agencies to make safe drinking water, and have the least possible impact on the environment with waste water.This is a relative open field and sky is the limit.Membrane technology and UV lighting will be the norm in a few years.Just damn expensive at the moment.
