This is fucken awesome. No easy feat to get 7 baroque double reeds to play in tune... let alone a convincing approximation of extended 1/6 comma meantone. Add in the ubercool factor of William Croft and Schola Cantorum Basiliensis = WIN.

Normally you make the reeds yourself. Go check out well-known dealers in your area if you're interested in a baroque oboe.

they are called taille oboes. They are tenor oboes, same range as da caccia.

More or less the same, only that they are in F instead of in C.
