@jdiehl1959 Wow , wouldve loved to have seen that show !
-
tommy did have some issues he choked when he was with deep purple. but his studio work was really good
-
@labtide Actually, and most unfortunately, Tommy was either not well...not into it....or pissed off about something, as he barely played, he let his sax player do most of the work...( if I can recall correctly )....disappointing to say the least. But, yes...he was GREAT......usually.

@JennSDMF1979 Well, I apparently was not at this exact show ( read above ) ....but I swear the one I saw was ( notice how 'saw' and 'was' look side by side....ok, I'm a stoner) just as amazing........I think. I loved these guys then, and still do.....beautiful.....and Robin just keeps getting better!!!!!

@StephenRedrobe I think you are right. It's hard to remember or keep it straight....I can hardly remember yesterday! Thanks for the clarification.....glad someone remembers, and really happy that this is available.
I was in the front row....right in front of Robin.....could hardly hear Dewar over Robin's Marshall's from there but WOW, what a show. Tommy Bolin opened, followd by Steve Marriott's all stars. My friends who had seen him the time before this tour said he was even better the first time....hard to imagine....but then, Reggie was still on drums then. I sure miss Winterland!!!!

@jdiehl1959 - The other acts in this show were Journey and Pablo Cruise. The concert you are referring to was one of four shows, from 5th to 8th May 1976.
