You can't BE a good person apart from being IN Christ. Your hippie philsophy of "Let's just all get along and love each other" doesn't hold any water in the real world. What you're really saying is that you want everyone to forsake a belief in objective, absolute truth. That is an untenable position. Osteen tries that, and you can see how he is so unstable and uncommital. You HAVE to believe something is true and therefore something else is not.

But Osteen never talks as if the Christianity were owned by only out-dated, cultures-disrespecting cult.

Have you ever herd of having sweet lips? Its in the Bible. Not one person should condemn anybody.
-
@XarisGuitars Amen that. Osteen is a dangerous man.
-
Joel Osteen does not preach the whole gospel. Very disappointing.....
-
For someone who doesn't know anything, he sure leads a lot of people, and makes lots of money - sounds dangerously like our government as well...
-
This video is either really encouraging or really disappointing....
-
Thank God Joel Osteen is not condeming folks to Hell. I wish people would leave the man alone.
If he dosn't know... let him be I am sure God will reveal it to him in the right time.

@robzombay72Maybe you need to go right to the source and see what real Hindu gurus from India have to say. Here is a comment from B.K.S Iyengar fromhis book "Light On Yoga" p 40 "the yogi conquers the body by the pracice of asanas making it a fit vehicle for the spirit...he does not consider the body his property...the yogi realizes his life and all activities are part of the divine nature"."Asanas aren't physical exercises..they have biochemical,psycho-physiologic
al and psycho-spiritual effects -
Wow. Joel's type of false teaching is so prevalent in today's "Christianity" and so dangerous.
-
Does yoga acknowledge Jesus Christ? Does it edify God? Many need to study the Hindu idol worship before they speak ignorance!!!By the way ....if Hinduism is so great, who so much POVERTY in India and other Hindu nations....not to mention Buddhism.....These countries are poverty stricken...we see it on tv constantly, yet we embrace their pathetic idols and yoga....logic folks....

@robzombay72
1) This video has nothing to do with Dr. Mohler's views on yoga.
2) You seem very intolerant and closed-minded towards his beliefs on yoga.
3) What theological argument or Bible verses can you use to support the use of yoga (a Hindu spiritual practice) by Christians?

@ChrisHobeck Because it's exercise with some spirituality, the only reason he made a big deal about it was to get attention, because saying Yoga is not for christians sounds SOOOO ridiculous that the media has to broadcast it. ,so he got his wish. He's an ass and if you are so brainwashed that you believe it too, you are a fool as well.

@robzombay72 But the spirituality which is the basis for yoga (namely Hinduism) is contradictory to Christianity. Two contradictory beliefs can't both be true, and both of those religions make contradictory statements.
Once again I'm left with questions: 1) Why did you post here when this clip is unrelated to yoga? 2) Why are you so closed-minded and intolerant towards the idea that Christianity and yoga are incompatible? 3) How do I know you're not just doing this so you can receive attention?

When I say I don't care, I'm talking about the lectures. I'm not impressed by the finger-shaking of arrogant hate mongers. I don't carew about hell or heaven, because I don't believe they exist.
I don't care about the teachings of people I can't respect. My life and the way I live it make this world a little bit better place. I make a difference that counts. Osteen is a positive force. Mohler is not.

Positivity is not as important as truth. What if Joel Osteen is wrong?
