A cute song by Roogalator featuring Nick Plytas on keyboards from 1977. Will anyone remember it?

  • How I wish this band had made it ! great song ,there was another version of this song on there album ( Do it records) I remember seeing Nick Plytas at the Rock Garden with his own band after the demise of Roogalater ,he had a couple of single's one of which "Johnny Runaway" had the potential of being a hit. Back then we took it for granted seeing muscians of the calibre of Danny Adler in the pub! Makes me feel nostalgic .Thanks for putting up.

  • @romanyman Yes a very talented group - I've always liked the keyboard section which seems to invoke loneliness with a hint of 1960's style melody

  • I bought this when it first came out and loved it then as much as I do now. This is a much better version than the one on Roogalator's Cincinatti Fatback (best of) CD

  • @Crispy32 Glad to hear that although I couldn't remove all the years of scratches

  • great song! between bluebeat & soul. Excepcional. This one sounds like a mod classic to me. i don´t know if are dj´s playing it. If not... What are they doin´ losing their time????

  • Sad to say -I've not heard it on the radio since 1977

  • A class act indeed

  • I remember seeing this group in the Golden Lion, Fulham around 1976. Thought they were marvellous at the time and wonder why they never enjoyed greater success.

  • He's starting to post some cool live performances of his hits of the past. He can still play that guitar! Cool style.

  • Yes very good - they came to my attention in 1977 when I heard them on Capital Radio (London). I wonder where they are now?
