College athletes ramp up their conditioning work in the weeks leading up to pre-season camp. The purpose behind the endurance plate circuit is to increase an athletes work capacity. This circuit will test you on many levels; don't expect to win any style points.
The circuit featured here is a progression for conditioned athletes who work for 40 and rest for 20 seconds. Two rounds will take 19 minutes (including a 2 minute break between bouts).
The first half of the video demonstrates how psychology trumps physiology any day as the athlete blows past his 5RM and blasts out 12 reps with 385 pounds on the deadlift w/ chains.
