Shot on the Sony PD170P, this was our second time out with the steady cam, built for me from scratch by my husband Scott. He pulled apart an old and completely useless tripod and salvaged the parts for a lightweight steadycam that's nice and strong and works a treat. This was filmed at Samurai Beach in Port Stephens, New South Wales, Australia. There were issues with the sand! Sand is lumpy and it slips around when you run on it. I was charging up sandhills and in and out of the waves which pull you about a bit so overall the performance of the steady cam rig was fairly impressive.

Super video. Was looking for home made stadicams but watched delighted. My daughters are now 24 and 21 and one has just finished a media production degree. :)
