used to go there in the mid 80s .. they only had a few rides left and arcades .. was a nice place to go at night and eat and have fun up there. i guess its all gone now ........
Grew up in the '60s and early '70s, used to love going to Salisbury Beach. So sad that there are no longer any amusement rides at there. Used to be so many rides: roller coaster, ferris wheel, Hymolaya, the spinning tea cups, etc. I guess now, in our lawsuit-centric society, they'd be afraid some little kid would get injured and sue them. But how much fun, was it, to go to the beach, swim in the ocean, and then go on all the ride...oh, and eat a lot of cotton candy and pizza and junk food.
It is a very simple fact..Once the "Kings of the Midway" (Wildcat and the Frolics) were destroyed, so went the massive ,continuall crowds, at Salisbury Beach. A developer would be wise to resurrect a like type midway/boardwalk..The North Shore certainly has the population and the need , to support it..
That coaster looked to be amazing. Too bad it is gone now...along with all the other rides that used to be there. The people that took out the rides ruined Salisbury Beach :(

You are so right! The need IS there. It would be incredible if something like this existed once again. Such memories I have of this place.

That was one good looking coaster. Great sweeping turnarounds.
