Outlander Casting Ideas.wmv

I am a big fan of the Diana Gabaldon Outlander series. I really hope someone like HBO or Showtime pick this up as I believe it would make a kick azz series. Anyhoo, these people are some of the folks that go through my freaky, little head as I read her wonderful world. Let me know what you think and your ideas for a great Outlander cast.

Thanks for posting this up. I think a mini series is better then a movie...just because there's so much dialogue to cover and it'll be incomplete if they cut some scene out. IMO I think casting new actors and actress will be much cost effective for something this large and we can learn to love them as much as the character in the book...so long as they are true and stick to the book. Keri will make an excellent Claire because she look youthful and her acting is incredible. Jaime...that's a hard1

@maisheng33 I would love to see this as a series for the same reason. New actors would be very interesting maybe mixed with some famous names to draw people who haven't read the series.

Good suggestions....for Jamie, I was thinking of Scott Michael Foster (check him out in "Teenage Dirtbag"). He's actually what I see when I think of Jamie as I always thought of him as having an imperfect beauty.

I agree! These books would make an amazing series on something like HBO. I like alot of your choices for the cast. I like Adrien Brody for Ian even though it never occured to me before lol He's got the right amount homliness to play the part. I see alot of people use actors that are too attractive and Ian is not described as handsome. Also loved your pick for Bree but Im a true blood fan so I may be bias with that one :)

No on Jamie...I love this actor...but too hardened...No on Claire because she is too cute...not stron and sexy enough...overall...goodchoices on the others...good video!

Great job, well done! I think you picked very well, Claire is absolutely perfect for me and Jamie as well. Can't wait for the mini series.
