its not just the brits that have a fukked system. about the same time this happened, a man from Alabama was convicted of murder during a robbery. he always swore that the confession was beaten out of him. 16 years later DNA proved that he was NOT the killer. however, due to 3 escape attempts during his wrongful incarceration, he is now serving a mandatory life sentece. mandatory sentencing is a travesty. i lost everything to prison and the stigma that you are branded with for evermore.

@life2lifele55 the film version i have says they were never charged...as always the establishment looks after their own...and it shows thatr british legal syatem can be manipulated from within and regardless of human rights

yep great song and fits the film beautifully (in the name of the father 1993)...bitter sweet...bitter from being in prison for 15 yrs and the loss of his (Gerrard Conlons)father (Guiseppe Conlon) who died in prison for a crime they didnt commit..sweet for having the sentence over turned, being released and being publically vindicated
