A dark and stylish black comedy.
A freelance, rookie-assassin wanting to leave his profession, meets his employer, a local gangster kingpin, over coffee and is pressured to stay in the game. This ultimately leads to unforeseen revelations and a disturbing climax.
Classic protagonist vs antagonist struggle. Good consistent look, interesting direction. The close up of the antagonist was very Kubrickian however I think it's the dialogue the actors get to play around with that seals the deal.
I Really enjoyed the terror the antagonist inflicts upon the protagonist. Scary stuff.
"Who gives a fuck, I'm not gonna drink it! Throw it in some tosser's face". Brilliant!
Good reversal of power at the start of that third act.
Bravo!
