Anyone reconize this location?
It is at Lochalsh, Ontario on the White River subdivision. The siding is located just south of Wabatongushi Lake.
The White River sub runs from Chapleau to White River in northern Ontario.

  • My friend was up there moose hunting when he caught this on his mobile phone. For guy who's not a rail fan, he covered the operation quite well in my opinion.

  • I have located the siding! I updated my description.

  • I was thinking the Cartier sub as well. I'm going to ask my friend today to give me a better idea as to where this was.

  • Maybe Lochalsh siding at Mile 68.1 White River Sub.

  • @widecabfan Sorry, I missed your comment. OOPS! You were right (before I found out from my friend!). Had I been more observant, I would have used your info to locate the siding. The siding is 7,690'.

I had never heard of the White River sub! Thanks!

  • West End of Localsh on the White River Sub between Chapleau and White River.

  • @Railrodder No problem :)

  • @widecabfan - i was thinking the same. A 7400' siding is there.

  • awsome

  • Actually, it might be the Cartier Sub. Mile 68 of the Mactier sub would be further south if this was up more in the Sudbury area.
