  • I used to use ampro to maintain my fingerwaves when i was getting my hair relaxed. Im all natural now and until today, I had no idea u could use ampro for pressing hair! i have to try this, it looks great.

  • Yes, we make a pressing oil - which is available at Sally's beauty & your local beauty supply store.. In January, we'll invite this model back & do a full video of her getting her hair pressed.

  • I used ampro styl pressing oil a while back, it's the best pressing oil out there. And it is for a reasonable price.

  • Thank you, very much for sharing that, heartymocha. We strive to provide quality products at a valued & affordable price. I am happy to know that you, our consumer, feels as if we are meeting this goal! I appreciate you for making this comment!

  • I'm glad I saw this! What would b the difference between this product&chi silk infusion/biosilk, besides the price? I'm thinking this helps protect against heat&makes the press last a little longer, while chi&biosilk would just give hair a nice shine (but obviously so does this;they also claim 2protect 4rm heat damage but idk if that's true)...I could be wrong though so don't quote me just yet...lol :)

  • If I'm not mistaken, the Biosilk product is more of a "Serum" or "Hair Polisher," which is intended to add shine to the hair - more of a finishing product. I say this because we carry a line of hair polishers - there's a separate video showing those. Hair polishers don't provide the heat protection I would recommend for a press & also don't have enough conditioners to replenish the moisture needed to keep natural hair healthy. Our pressing oil contains a "wax" - unlike light weight polishers.

  • The wax is intended to help seal the cuticle of the natural hair, to help keep water/humidity out - so that your press "lasts" longer. It lessens the need for additional heat between shampoos. The less frequently your hair comes into contact with heat, the more likely it is to grow & keep a healthy look.

  • Nice hair and all, but what's the name of that song?

  • The answer I was looking for. Thanks so much!

  • You are so welcome! I have a question about the Apro curling wax, could you also use that product like you would use a pressing oil? Or is it for a different purpose.

  • Thank u! :)
