Rapidly rotating wall cloud encountered around 6 p.m. on 4/11/07 near mile marker 30 on I-70 east of Terre Haute, IN. Just after I got this video, a tornado warning was issued for this storm. Despite the strong rotation, no tornado touched down, though the storm did produce 3/4 inch hail in a couple locations.

  • Do tornadoes happen frequently around terre haute? we may be moving there in April.

  • Occasionally, but no more so than in other parts of the Midwest.

  • do wall clouds have scales? like the

wiiluigi1993 guy said "F5 looking wall cloud and was on the ground :O but no tornado just a storm"

I didn't know they have scales just like hurricanes and tornadoes please reply thanks!

  • There is no scale for wall clouds - only for tornadoes that actually touch down. To the best of my knowledge, there was no tornado associated with this wall cloud.

  • I was at at camp and we were leaving the pool then we saw a huge menacing cloud coming toward us. We were hurried to the bus but before that we were under a cloud just like that but the freaky part was is that it made no thunder until it was just coming over us. Then at that moment, LIGHTING THUNDER 40 MILE AN HOUR WIND! We all sprinted to the bus ( though our consulor told us to walk) so many kids scream's running to the bus. After that it rained so hard it actually hurt for about 10 minutes t

  • WOW

  • if i was under that... 0_0

  • Man look at the spin on that thing! Its almost October and I miss the spring and summer already lol.

  • A rotating cloud if I ever saw one.

  • Somebody needs to fire a missile into this thing and blow it up!
