Some Association facts... They were the very FIRST group to open a Pop Festival, the Monterey 2 day show, in 1967. They have sold over 30 million records worldwide. They were voted the favorite group of 1967, beating among others, The Beatles. Terry Kirkman could play 24 instruments and wrote classics such as Cherish, Six Man Band and Everything That Touches You. It is a SHAME that the Association was not given a proper sound check before this performance. When singing harmony, you must have the microphones properly balanced to get the right sound. The CBS network puts on the early show at sub-high school, skill levels. Even the camera work is horrible! This band has millions of fans worldwide, they sound so much better live than shown here!
