(If you take the time to watch it please take the time to rate and comment on any of my videos Thanks)

-Covering Hold Back The Day by Devildriver. Playing a Schecter Gryphon 7 String w/ EMG 81 in the bridge through Line 6 POD Pro w/ my mystery add on for my tone. After watching countless live shows and videos of Hold Back the Day, I'm almost positive that this is how its played despite what all the tabs out there read because I haven't found a single one that is right. Hope you enjoy and If anyone has any questions about the song please feel free to ask. Enjoy!

  • awsome cover dude, but i thought the fast part of this song had power chords on it and not only simple notes

  • @Berserker2070 Maybe. There is 2 guitars in harmony on the cd. I choose to play it this way because it stands out more.

  • could you take the time to tab this out dude

  • @Ms666lucifer666 Honestly dude I really don't have the time. If you look on Ultimate-Guitar there is a couple of tabs that are decent. Just put the correct parts together and watch my vid over and over. If you need help on certain parts just let me know and Ill try to explain those parts. Good luck

  • great cover man! Hey I always wondered if devildriver played 7 strings, but couldn't find any tabs to reflect on. Did you play this in Standard 7 string tuning BEADGBE? or did u play drop B 7 sting inversion? i can see you barring chords on the lowest string.

  • @XxsixpounderxX Devildriver plays 6 string's tuned to Drop B, B F# B E G# C#, which is similar to what I have mine tuned to. Being that I have that extra string I tune to B F# B E A G# C#, that way my bottom 6 strings are tune like a "normal" guitar but up a step and a half. Devildriver only used the Drop B tuning for their first 2 albums then they went to Drop C tuning C G C F A D. Hope this helps.

  • Awesome cover man. Love the shirt too.

  • does the line 6 pod pro work well with low tunings (seven/eight string guitars?) without getting muddy?

  • Why would he have to "tab" it out, I'm not trying to say anything about skill, just that he made a video, why not put some effort in and do it yourself, not being able to do it yourself is like learning deaf

  • Awesome dude :D You should cover Fury Of Our Makers Hand

  • ONE person can't play this song 100% correctly

  • the PERFECT cover! great job man
