yeah thats what all the kids at my school smoke

JT or more specifically JTI (Japan Tobacco International) is about #3 in international share following Philip Morris and BAT.
It doesn't sound like you're much of a smoker in general; but I know that BAT did offer a few menthol offerings that I found pleasant the last time I was over (Lucky Strike Menthol Filters and KOOL Nights.)
What you don't mention in your video is that Japan has state mandated consistent pricing. It's extremely difficult to launch a brand there (hence the gimmick.)

Yes. Only about 3500 people.

I dont know if you heard about the new Camel Crush coming out at the end of this month in the USA. Those are obviously marketed for the kids and teens, really sad.

No, sorry, I haven't. I don't smoke so don't keep my eyes on that advertising. Wow... how disappointing to be targeting that group!

CAMEL in Japan (and every other country outside of the U.S.) is actually run by Japan Tobacco. JT is looking to expand their customer base after losing the rights to MARLBORO within Japan a year and a half back.
Since they alredy have the market locked up in many ways with their primary brand MILD Seven; CAMEL is being marketed as a niche, different cigarette so that they cover more of the general public.
Have fun in the countryside.

I could be wrong, but I think that JT is now the largest tobacco company in the world since they have acquired so many brands... I'm not sure it's RJR anymore. I know it used to be. Thanks for the other information. By the way, I tried a few drags... and it was horrible. Ugh! The smell of Mild Seven in a restaurant makes me gag. Actually all of the Japanese men's cigarettes smell horrible. I'm glad I don't smoke! Every tried kretek cloves by Djarum? Those are ... interesting. Very interesting.

Thank you! I believe in working even seemingly non-existing networks by sharing with the world what I have gleaned through my work, studies, research and life. If it helps others, it satisfies my needs.
