Augustus (63 B.C. - 14) was a relative to the murdered Caesar and he finally take over power of the Roman-empire. First he joined an alliance with Marcus Antonius and theirs forces won over the Senate at Philippi in 42 B.C. (battle of Philippi) and then - after they had became enemies - he won over Antonius and Cleopatra at Actium (battle of Actium) in 31 B.C.

He increased the Roman-empire and introduced an efficient rule. Pics on: Augustus, Antonius, Cleopatra, Rome and Alexandria (Egypt).

  • @88hanimart88 Thankyou Annie!! I have red much about Rome and it´s interesting history...Caesar...Augustus...­very exciting! Caesar was a warriour but Augustus was another kind of leader...he had often problem with his health...but he had a sharp brain and was very skilled to rule. It was a very brutal time with much violence.
