@Tibbles22 One of my best friend's is from Sao Miguel...they definitely talk different! Sometimes she'll throw me for a loop w/ a word or two she uses. I love it though. My boyfriend is from Terceira and they have an accent too, as does my family from Sao Jorge! lol It's awesome!

@BlueStarDiamont5 The Azores is a part of Portugal, I think what he was getting at was that they sounded like they are from Sao Miguel. The Portuguese language from the mainland to the islands is a bit different, but it is Portuguese none the less. It's just like slang portuguese. =)

@CoolNoize yeah of course spanish italian french and portuguese sound similiar...but the way italians and portuguese people talk for some reason sounds really similar...even tho portuguese is closer to spanish since it technically does not come from latin..it comes from spanish..spanish comes from latin because portugual used to be part of spain
