  • Most of Norfolk's rush-hour traffic problems involve the military going to one base or the other. If the light rail is going to work it should go from NOB, Little Creek, Oceana, or Dam Neck to VA Beach, Chesapeake, or Suffolk (where houses are still affordable).

  • I'm glad Norfolk is getting light rail, and I'm hoping Va beach will jump on board. its about freakin time. The 757 needs better options other than the bus. This area has too many people in it for that. I would give up driving if the transportation system was better here.

  • Its funny how the LRT naysayers think this is the only system that's gone over budget, functions at the street level with pedestrians/cars, or backed by negligent politicians. The fact is Norfolk has done nothing new with its system. Its identical to every starter line in the world. Every project has folks complaining about the same things, yet a system is built and it does what it promises anyway. LRT is sustainable & efficient in every city where it exists. Norfolk will be no different.

  • "it's clearly marked!" hahah oh god. i love 757.

  • HAHAHAHAHAH <3

  • I think this is hysterical. At the same time I'm also a big fan of Greater Norfolk getting cooler and let's face it, modern mobility can't hurt. We really do have a chance to be a really cool place, like Charlotte and Austin. Its fun to poke fun at the city on lightrail because its easy. Honestly I'm still glad to have it because at least it gives hope that someday the entire Greater Norfolk Virginia Beach region can have modern transportation, bike paths and a new shifted mentality.
