Yes some nursery rhymes may be sexist .....like Mother Goose. Is there a Father Goose? And what about "The old woman that lived in a shoe, she had so many children,she didn't know what to do". Is she a widow, a divorcee, an unwed mother? Is she on the dole? What about rub a dub dub three men in tub? Nursery rhymes often address modern social issues it seems. Take care! :-))
