this is a horrible video. his head is to the ground and his lead change was poor because of it. i hadnt had him in training for a while because i was "bringing him back" from an injury for a few months so i guess without help i did not realize how poorly we were doing.
he has allergies and that is what the head tossing is from. i now have him on a supplement and ride him in a nose net which has stopped him from doing that. he is 14 and we are currently eventing at the novice level together.

  • Can I ask? What for that chambon? It doesn't look to really apply its effect - it was slack all the time... Otherwise, nice work...

  • elerian: i lunged him prior to riding and used it on him as he is very tight and low in his poll. i was too lazy to remove it for riding (you are not supposed to ride in them) so i just made it very loose and in doing so...useless.

  • jess: his canter is medium i guess. not super smooth but really isnt rough.
