Journey Through the Cosmic Web [720p]

This animation flies through the cosmic web of the early universe. At the end, we see the Hubble Space Telescope collecting data points.

Launched in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) has revolutionized astronomy by providing unprecedented views of the Universe. Hubble's spectral range extends from the ultraviolet, through the visible, and into the near-infrared. The last servicing mission in 2009 brought new instruments, batteries and gyros to extend Hubble's life through at least 2013.
