Navy Liberty at Subic Bay Philippines, 1992. USS Independence, CV 62, the last Carrier to visit Subic Bay before Navy Base closed. Subic Bay was home away from home for generations of Westpac (Western Pacific) sailors, going back to prior to WW II. We loved Subic Bay and still do. This was the last carrier liberty at the world famous Subic Bay. Film by ATCS Tim Miskel.

You havnt lived if ya never got to experiance Olongapo City before the base closed down.....I was there on wes-pac's 73,74-75,76,79,81,83,86,and 88.....loved every one of them.

Subic is still a blast but much nicer now. A great place to retire in if you want to escape the crazy liberal nonsense going on in the US.
