Hey guys, apologies for the lack of videos recently. I've been slacking ;D

Anyways, heres one of the first mixes I made using 4 decks on Virtual DJ 7.0.
The songs in this video are NOT OWNED BY ME. I simply blended them together using a commercial use program called "Virtual DJ." I do not own the rights to any of the individual songs, songs are owned by their respective labels [Ultra, Mau5trap, Columbia, etc.]

You may have noticed I'm actually RECORDING my mixes now. Yes, literally recording AS I make them! That way if, while you're listening on another tab or what not, if you want to see how I made something happen, faded something, added an effect ETC. You can simply flip to the video and watch exactly what I did.

Hopefully watching this will give you an idea of what I do and maybe make you interested in it yourself! This stuff isn't easy, and I'm not trying to make it out as if it is. It takes practice.

Any questions? Leave a comment!
Enjoy!

  • How did you get four decks? I have the Virtual DJ Home edition and it only has two decks. Is yours the same or different? Also, I would like you to make some more tutorials if you get time. Thanks.

  • @Nunsweepit421 At the top of the Virtual DJ window is a button that says "Config". Click that button and go to the skins tab, then choose a skin with 4 decks.

  • i dont get it do u use just instumentals or mixing with a song u wanna spice up?

  • @Addicti0nz1 DJing is very diverse; there's a lot of ways to DJ. I'm limited to just this program, so I do the best I can to make my own 'unique' blends and mixes of songs using Virtual DJ. Generally DJs don't use your everyday 'instruments' and any sounds that come from a DJ are not their own, rather it's the combination of the songs, samples, musical pieces, vocals and effects that make a DJ's sound so unique, thus why it's called a 'mix'.

In short - No, I'm not using instruments here.

  • Nice one just keep up the good work

  • @mikyyy1970 Thanks a lot.
