  • this experiment has no control/reference sample...

  • @Mrpresco011 How about clean water.. You dont need a sample as you know it has 0 ppm oil or petroleum in it lol ...

  • @OpeningYourEyes not necessarily actually. Even the 'scientist' in the video said he expected 4ppm as the normal. The other posters are correct - there should have been a control sample taken from somewhere a long long way away. Otherwise, this news item is inaccurate scaremongering.

  • @willyg1965 No listen again , he said 0 is normal but the highest hed expect ( considering the situation) would be 4-5ppm :)

  • Nice job with the fearporn, local news. Afraid to mention what ppm would actually be dangerous to humans?

  • @Musicposter4you Meaningless. For a control, you would have to test other unaffected seawater, not tapwater - in other words, seawater from an area a long way away.

Honestly guys. This is the kind of thing you learn at school in science when you're about 14.

  • @tyleriscool654 spoken like a true scientist. You deserve the Nobel Prize, sir!

    PS. Yes you do. ;)

  • @Mrpresco011 Dumbass... the chemist said normal levels would be undetectable.. Pick a control, it would be irrelevant.

  • @im3ngs The kind that will be the first to go during this "herd thinning."

  • @Mrpresco011 if normal is 0 then 0 is your control if a sample were taken as control and showed 2 parts ppm then that is area is above normal and that is a whole other issue we should not be seeing anything in our water period if you think a control with 4 ppm is normal then we really are in trouble in the long run dont lose your standards we need to keep our world clean im not a global warming nut but i do feel that companies need to stop polluting our land and water

  • hurr derp all derp these durr comments da hurr murr durr are durrr derp.

  • hahahaha its so polluted

  • @willyg1965 ok then go test your own fucking beach, and there will be 0ppm. u dont find oil anywhere naturally on the beach.
