Well maybe then you should write your own programs. Just because you "can't" pay for someone's HARD WORK, doesn't mean you get to have it for free.

You clearly don't understand what open source means. Open source != freeware

Anyone know if there is sample code for the test app and the test server they created as a demo?

the reason of piracy on android is: * People dont (or cant) pay *Android is OPEN-SOURCE *Bad payment structure * An option at settings that lets you download from unknown sources * A lot of developers and crackers that do so * Region lock on google play * Compatibility on devices (some apps are "uncompatible") * "Black" markets * Aptoide Until that doesnt resolves, piracy will continue.

It's an application that is using your server without having the "right" to do it, using bandwith, connections .. etc

Do you think Google will feature an app on Google Play, that doesn't generate any revenue for Google?

Could I use this to distribute an .apk to an OEM, to allow them to carry a pre-installed version of my app, yet limit the amount of units they can install it in?

Using the google play's license acquisition structure, in theory if I treat the OEM as an end user, I could generate an .apk installation file, make it cost $10,000 and have an installation limit of 10,000 installations per user (or device they embed it onto) lol but there is gotta a better way
