the car is higher quality than the old model Box..the 1996 986 was a cost-cutting exercise by Dr Wendlking as was the 996 911 to put Porsche back on its feet! go see a 10 yrs old Boxster- it will be falling a part. Then go look at a 20+ yrs old 944, it will be in better shape. I like the new Boxster and its centre console is like an 80s 944- 928...I will consider this new Boxster model.
